Lacquerware Amber plate (square)

What is called "Amber" in lacquerware craft is a technique in which multiple layers of gold leaf and  layers of amber-colored lacquer are applied. By layering gold leaf, deep light and shade are created in the amber color, creating a luster unique to lacquer.
The amber lacquer becomes more transparent as you use it, and you can enjoy the change over time as the color of the gold leaf becomes brighter.
